Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installing: open the printer and wait for the cartridge carrier to move into the loading position. Press down on the carrier lever to open the lid, remove the empty cartridge, take the tape off the new one without touching the nozzles or gold contacts, insert it and close the lid until it snaps.

Streaks or missing colors: run the cartridge cleaning and alignment from the Dell printer software. The print head is built into these cartridges, so a new cartridge also gives you new nozzles.
