Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to deliver the highest-quality replacement ink and toner cartridges at the lowest possible price, backed by knowledgeable U.S.-based customer support and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We exist because no one should pay more for replacement ink than they paid for their printer.

Our Story (Founded 2005)

Castle Ink was founded in 2005 by Lauren Elward and William Elward after they grew frustrated paying more for replacement inkjet cartridges than they had originally paid for the printer itself. They believed consumers deserved a better, more transparent option, so they set out to source premium aftermarket cartridges, test them rigorously on real office printers, and pass the savings on to customers.

Two decades later, Castle Ink ships cartridges to customers in all 50 states from our Long Island fulfillment center. We have been featured in The New York Times, profiled on CrunchBase, and recognized by industry reviewers for our commitment to value and sustainability.

How We Vet Every Cartridge

We do not simply resell whatever is cheapest on the market. Every remanufactured cartridge we sell is:

✓ Tested for page yield against the OEM specification using ISO/IEC 19752 and 19798 testing standards.
✓ Inspected for print quality on the actual printer model it is designed for, before it is approved for our catalog.
✓ Manufactured in ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 certified U.S. facilities to ensure consistent quality and environmentally responsible production.
✓ Backed by a one-year limited warranty and our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If a cartridge does not perform, we replace it or refund your order.
