HP+ warning: if your printer was set up with HP+ (common on newer "e" models), HP locks it to Original HP cartridges for the life of the printer, and no remanufactured or compatible cartridge will work. Check before you order.

OEM chip vs. new chip: this pack keeps the original HP chip on each cartridge, so it is the most reliable choice if your printer has had recent HP firmware updates, which can block cartridges with non-HP chips. The New Chip version uses new aftermarket chips and costs less.

Printer messages: if you see a "cartridge problem" or "used cartridge" message, select OK or Continue; if a cartridge isn't recognized, remove it, check that the protective tape is off, wipe the copper contacts and reinstall.
