Will Not Fit

• Toner vs. drum: the MLT-R116 is the separate imaging drum (about 9,000 pages) for these printers, not a toner cartridge.
• Other Samsung Xpress cartridges: MLT-D111S, MLT-D118L and MLT-K200L look similar but fit different Xpress models (for example, the Xpress M3065FW uses MLT-D118L and the Xpress M2035DW uses MLT-K200L). They are not interchangeable with MLT-D116L.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installing: open the front cover, pull out the empty cartridge, then rock the new cartridge gently side to side five or six times to spread the toner. Pull off the protective tape and clip and slide it in until it locks.

Chip and supply messages: the cartridge has its own chip. The printer may report a non-genuine supply; select OK or Continue to keep printing. Samsung printers are now supported by HP, which is why the original cartridge is sold as HP SU832A. If the cartridge isn't recognized, remove it, check all packing material is off and reseat it firmly. See our guide to fixing a cartridge that isn't recognized.
