Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installing: with the printer on, lift the access door; the carriage moves to the center. Press the tab on the empty cartridge, lift it out of the printhead, remove the new cartridge from its pack and snap it into the matching position until it clicks. Close the door.

Ink messages: if the printer reports an unrecognized cartridge, remove it, check that all packing is off and reseat it firmly.

Streaks or missing colors: Kodak printers use a permanent printhead, so run the printhead cleaning from the printer's Maintenance menu. A new cartridge does not replace the printhead.
