Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: with the printer on, open the ink access door and wait for the carriage to stop. Press the front of the old cartridge to release it, unwrap the new one and push it into the slot with the matching color until it clicks. Close the door and let the printer finish its startup routine before printing.
Chip: this version carries a new aftermarket chip. If the printer reports a cartridge problem, remove it, check the contacts are clean and reseat it; if HP firmware has been updated, the OEM-chip version is the safer pick.
