What Ink Does the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 Use?

Quick answer: what ink does the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 use?

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 uses four HP 910 cartridges: black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. High-yield HP 910XL cartridges, and the extra-high-yield HP 916XL black, fit the same slots.

Common questions about HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 ink

Should I buy HP 910, 910XL, or 916XL?

Can I mix standard and high-yield cartridges?

Yes. Each cartridge is read separately, so any mix of standard and high-yield sizes works.

What other printers use HP 910/910XL?

The same cartridges fit the 8025e, 8028e, 8035e, OfficeJet 8010, 8015, 8020, 8022, 8025, and 8035. If you own more than one, a single stock covers them all.

Will other HP cartridges fit the OfficeJet Pro 8025?

No. HP 912 is the same cartridge sold in Europe and is region-coded, so it won't work in a U.S. printer. HP 962 (OfficeJet Pro 9015) and HP 952 (OfficeJet Pro 8710) are larger and won't fit. Always match the number on your current cartridge.

Are compatible or remanufactured cartridges safe for the OfficeJet Pro 8025?

Yes. Quality compatible and remanufactured cartridges print like OEM, and using them doesn't void your warranty under U.S. law. How do I replace the ink in the OfficeJet Pro 8025?

Open the ink cartridge access door on the front and wait for the carriage to stop. Press the tab on the empty cartridge and pull it out. Unwrap the new cartridge, pull off the orange tab or cap (don't touch the copper contacts), and slide it into its color-coded slot until it clicks. Why does the OfficeJet Pro 8025 say a cartridge is missing, damaged, or incompatible?

Reseat the cartridge until it clicks, make sure all protective tape is off, and wipe the copper contacts with a dry lint-free cloth. Power the printer off for a minute. Why are OfficeJet Pro 8025 prints faded, streaky, or missing a color?

The print head is part of the printer on this model, so a new cartridge won't fix a clog on its own. Run the printer's Clean Printhead tool once or twice, then print a quality report. What's the difference between “new chip” and “OEM chip” remanufactured cartridges?

Both reuse original HP shells. “OEM chip” cartridges keep HP's original chip, which tends to hold up better after HP firmware updates; “new chip” cartridges use a replacement chip and usually cost a little less.

Is the OfficeJet Pro 8025 the same as the 8025e?
