Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: with the printer on, open the cartridge cover and wait for the carriage to stop. Lift the latch, remove the empty cartridge, take the protective tape off the new one without touching the nozzles or contacts, and press it into place until the latch closes.
Streaks or gaps: wipe the copper contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and run the printer's cleaning or alignment routine.
No chip: this cartridge has no chip, so there are no non-HP supply messages to clear.
