Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the front cover and lift out the empty toner/developer cartridge. Shake the new cartridge gently side to side a few times, remove its seal and set it into place, then close the cover.
Supply messages: if the fax still shows a toner warning, open and close the cover once, or confirm the new cartridge when the machine asks.
Streaks or faint print: the drum is a separate part with its own life. If streaks continue with fresh toner, the drum may be due.

Compatible vs. Remanufactured vs. Original
Original (OEM) toner is new from the printer brand and costs the most. Compatible toner, like this cartridge, is newly manufactured by a third party to the original's size and page-yield specifications, so it drops into the same slot at a much lower price. Remanufactured toner is an emptied original cartridge that has been rebuilt and refilled. Castle Ink sells compatible (newly manufactured) toner and remanufactured inkjet cartridges.

No. This is the toner/developer cartridge; the drum (FO-35DR) is separate.
Will this void my printer warranty?
No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your printer warranty just because you used a third-party or remanufactured supply. If a non-original supply directly caused damage, that specific repair might not be covered.
How long can I store it?
Sealed toner keeps for about two years at room temperature. Keep it in its bag, away from heat and direct sunlight, and store it flat.
