Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the front cover, remove the toner cartridge, then pull out the old drum. Unpack the new drum, remove its protective sheet without touching the green drum surface, slide it in, reinstall the toner and close the cover.
Drum messages: if the machine still reports the drum near end of life, reset the drum counter from the menu or service mode as described in your manual. Keep the drum out of bright light.
Drum vs. toner: this is the drum only. It lasts through several JX-95NT toner cartridges. The JX-9500 also uses a separate JX-95ND developer.
