Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the front cover, pull the empty toner cartridge straight out (on color models, from the matching color slot) and shake the new cartridge horizontally five or six times. Slide it in until it locks and close the cover.
Supply messages: if the machine still shows "Replace toner", make sure the cartridge is fully seated and the cover is closed. If it reports a non-Sharp supply, follow the prompt to continue.
Light or streaky output: make a few prints so new toner reaches the developer. Drum and developer are separate service parts on these machines.
