Which toner cartridges does the DCP-L2640DW use?

The DCP-L2640DW uses a TN-830 or high-yield TN-830XL toner cartridge, which sits on a separate DR830 drum unit.

Will compatible toner work in my DCP-L2640DW?

Yes. Brother laser printers accept compatible toner. Take the drum and toner assembly out, press the green lever to release the old toner cartridge from the drum, click the new one in, and reinstall the assembly. If a toner message stays on after replacing, reset the toner counter from the printer's menu.

Do I need a new drum every time I replace the toner?
