How many pages does a GI-21 bottle print?

Canon rates the 170 ml GI-21 black at about 6,000 pages and each 70 ml color at about 7,700 pages at 5% coverage.

Which printers use Canon GI-21 ink?

Canon PIXMA G1220, G2260, G3260, G3270 and G4270. Earlier G-series printers (G1200, G2200, G3200, G4200) use GI-290 instead, which has a different bottle. Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Can I top up a tank that still has ink?

Yes. Add the same color until the tank reaches its upper line; the bottle stops automatically when the tank is full.

Will remanufactured cartridges void my printer warranty?

No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, Canon cannot void your printer warranty just because you used third-party ink or toner. If a cartridge from us ever isn't recognized or prints poorly, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.
