Epson 812 / 812XL Ink: Common Questions

What is the difference between Epson 812 and 812XL?

812XL is the high-yield size, rated at about 1,100 pages per cartridge; standard 812 holds less ink and prints fewer pages. Both fit the same slot. We carry the 812XL size, which costs less per page.

Which printers use Epson 812 ink?

Epson WorkForce Pro WF-7310, WF-7820 and WF-7840, and the WorkForce EC-C7000. Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Will remanufactured Epson 812XL cartridges work in my printer?

Yes. Each cartridge is a genuine Epson shell with its original chip, cleaned, refilled and print-tested, so it installs like an original. Keep automatic firmware updates off, since Epson updates have blocked third-party chips. If a cartridge from us isn't recognized, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.

Single cartridges or the 4-pack?

The 4-pack (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) works out to about $11.25 per cartridge, well under the single-cartridge price, so buy it if you print in color. Buy singles when only one color runs out.
