About HP 212A & 212X Toner Cartridges

The HP 212 family covers the Color LaserJet Enterprise M554dn, M555dn, M555x and the MFP M578dn, M578f, M578c and Flow M578 models. HP sells it in two capacities that share the same slot: the standard-yield 212A (W2120A black, W2121A cyan, W2122A yellow, W2123A magenta) rated at about 5,500 black and 4,500 color pages, and the high-yield 212X (W2120X, W2121X, W2122X, W2123X) rated at about 13,000 black and 10,000 color pages. If you print more than a few hundred pages a month, the 212X set costs noticeably less per page.
