Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: with the printer on, open the cover and wait for the carriage to stop. Release the empty cartridge and lift it out. Remove the protective tape from the new cartridge without touching the nozzles or contacts, seat it in the carrier and close the latch and cover.
No chip to reset: these StyleWriter printers do not read chips. If print is faint after a change, run a cleaning from the Apple printer utility.
Print head built in: the print head is part of this cartridge, so a new cartridge also renews the nozzles. If print stays streaky after two cleanings, the cartridge is the likely cause.
