Good to Know
BCI-6 is a six-color family: black, cyan, magenta, yellow, photo cyan and photo magenta. Most printers above use four to six of them; replace each color as it runs out.
Because the print head is built into the printer, a new tank won't fix a clogged nozzle. If yellow is missing or streaky after a swap, run a head cleaning from the printer's maintenance menu.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is BCI-6Y the same as 4708A003?
Yes. 4708A003 is Canon's part number for the BCI-6Y yellow tank. This compatible cartridge replaces it.
Why is the price so much lower than Canon's?
BCI-6 printers are older models and Canon's own tanks are priced for its retail channel. Compatible tanks use the same shape and chip-free design, so they fit and work the same way for a fraction of the cost.
Will this void my printer warranty?

Will my printer show a message when I install it?
Some printers display a notice that a non-original or previously used ink cartridge is installed. Select OK or Continue and print as usual. If it isn't recognized, remove it, make sure all protective tape is off, wipe the contacts and reinstall it.
