Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Filling: open the scanner unit and the ink tank cap for one color. Remove the bottle cap, line the nozzle up with the matching tank inlet and stand the bottle upright; ink flows in and stops when the tank reaches the upper line. Close the tank cap firmly and repeat for the other colors.

After filling: close the scanner unit. If the printer asks, reset the ink level for the colors you filled from the control panel or Canon software.

Streaks or missing colors: print a nozzle check and run a cleaning from the maintenance menu. If a color stays missing, let the printer rest and run a deep cleaning once.
