Don't mix these up: the C4195A is the imaging drum, not a toner cartridge. The 4500/4550 also need the HP 640A toners: C4191A black, C4192A cyan, C4193A magenta and C4194A yellow. The Color LaserJet 4600 and 4650 use different all-in-one cartridges and do not take this drum.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installation: Power off the printer and remove the old drum. Take the new drum out of its bag and remove all shipping material and tape. Don't touch the drum surface, and keep it out of bright light; install it right away, close the covers and power on. Print a configuration or test page to confirm the printer sees the new drum.

If you see a drum message: reseat the drum and make sure every piece of packing material is removed. If the printer still reports a problem, contact us and we'll make it right.
