Don't mix these up: HP 80 cyan comes in two sizes for the same printers: 350 ml (C4846A, this cartridge) and 175 ml (C4872A). HP 80 is not interchangeable with HP 10/11/82 or with HP 70/72 DesignJet cartridges, and the HP 80 printheads are a separate part. There is no official "HP 80XL"; sellers sometimes use that name for the 350 ml size.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Ink supply only: this is the HP 80 ink cartridge. The DesignJet 1050c/1055cm also uses separate HP 80 printheads and printhead cleaners, which are not included and are replaced on their own schedule.

Printer messages: these are remanufactured from genuine HP 80 cartridges and keep the original HP chip. If the plotter shows a non-HP or refilled-ink message, acknowledge it to continue. If a cartridge isn't recognized, remove it, wipe the contacts with a lint-free cloth and reinstall it firmly in the matching color slot.
