Separate printhead: HP 88 printers use separate printheads. Yellow prints through the HP 88 Black/Yellow printhead (C9381A), which stays in the printer; you only swap the ink cartridge.

Chip messages: these cartridges are remanufactured from genuine HP 88 cartridges and keep the original HP chip. If the printer shows a "non-HP" or "used cartridge" notice, press OK or Continue to keep printing; the ink level gauge may read inaccurately. HP+ does not apply to these older OfficeJet Pro models.
