Does this drum include toner? No. The HP 32A is the imaging drum only. On these printers the toner is a separate part — the HP 30A or 30X (CF230A/CF230X) on the M203 and M227 series, or the HP 94A or 94X (CF294A/CF294X) on the M118, M148 and M149 series.
How do I know whether I need a new drum or new toner? Faded or light print usually means toner. Repeating marks at a regular interval down the page, grey backgrounds, or defects that stay in the same position on every sheet usually mean the drum. Your printer will also report a drum warning as it approaches end of life.
Will the CF232A void my HP printer warranty? No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, your printer manufacturer cannot void your warranty solely because you installed a compatible (non-OEM) supply.
