Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the front door, lift out the toner cartridge, then pull out the old imaging drum. Remove the packing from the new drum without touching the green surface, slide it in, reinstall the toner and close the door.
Messages: the printer may show a non-HP supply notice; confirm it to continue. If the drum is not recognized, reseat it and check all packing material is removed.
Drum vs. toner: this is the drum only. It lasts through several HP 30A or 30X toner cartridges.
