Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the printer's cover and lift out the drum unit. Remove the empty toner from the drum unit, shake the new toner gently, remove its seal and set it into the drum unit until it locks. Put the drum unit back and close the cover.
Supply messages: if the printer still reports low toner, open and close the cover once so it rechecks.
Streaks or faint print: the drum is a separate part with its own life. If streaks continue with fresh toner, the drum may be due.
