Don't mix these up: HP 730 comes in 130 ml and 300 ml sizes that fit the same slots. It is not interchangeable with HP 727 (T920/T1500/T2500) or HP 738 (T850/T950). The HP 730 printhead is sold separately.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the ink cartridge cover, lift out the empty cartridge and gently shake the new one before pushing it into the matching color slot until it seats. Close the cover and wait for the printer to finish checking the ink.
Non-HP supply messages: DesignJet printers display a notice when a refilled or non-HP cartridge is installed. Confirm the message on the front panel to keep printing. If a cartridge is not detected, reseat it and check the chip contacts are clean.
Printheads are separate: DesignJet printheads are replaced on their own schedule, not with each ink cartridge. If a color is missing after a new cartridge, run the printhead cleaning from the front panel.

Does it include a printhead?
No. These printers use the separate HP 730 printhead, which lasts through many ink cartridges.
What is the difference between matte black and photo black?
Matte black is used on plain, bond and uncoated papers for CAD and line work; photo black is used on glossy and satin photo media. The printer uses both and picks automatically.
Will this void my printer warranty?
No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your printer warranty just because you used a third-party or remanufactured supply. If a non-original supply directly caused damage, that specific repair might not be covered.
How long can I store it?
