HP 90A / 90X Toner: Common Questions

What is the difference between the HP 90A / 90X sizes?

90A prints about 10,000 pages and 90X about 24,000. Both fit the same printers, so 90X costs less per page. HP's cartridges have the drum built in, so there is no separate drum to buy.

Which printers use HP 90A / 90X toner?

HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601dn, M601n, M602dn, M602n, M602x, M603dn, M603n, M603xh, LaserJet Enterprise M4555 MFP. Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Will compatible HP 90A / 90X toner work in my printer?

Yes. Our cartridges are new, not refilled, and install like an original. Keep automatic firmware updates off so a future HP update can't block third-party toner. If a cartridge from us isn't recognized, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.

Standard or high-yield: which should I buy?

High-yield (the X or H version) in almost every case. It is the same cartridge body with more toner, so each printed page costs less. Standard-yield only makes sense if you print very little.
