Don't mix these up: CLI-8G green is used only in the PIXMA Pro9000 and Pro9000 Mark II, which take eight CLI-8 colors (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, photo cyan, photo magenta, red and green). It is not interchangeable with the PIXMA PRO-100 (CLI-42) or PRO-10/PRO-1 tanks, and the Pro9000 does not use a PGI-5 black.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: remove the orange protective cap and any film just before installing, then press the tank into the green slot until it clicks and its lamp lights.
Ink-level messages: these are remanufactured from genuine Canon CLI-8 tanks and keep the original Canon chip, but a refilled tank may show low or unknown ink level. If the printer says ink has run out or the level can't be detected, follow the on-screen prompt to continue; on many Canon models this means pressing and holding the Resume/Stop button for 5–10 seconds. That turns off level detection for that tank, so watch your prints and replace it when color fades.
