How Does An Inkjet Printer Work?

Inside an inkjet cartridge are tiny drops of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink. When the printer is turned on, these drops are heated until they turn into a gas. Then they're shot out of the nozzle at high speed and onto the paper. As the gas cools, it turns back into a liquid and forms a dot on the paper. This process is repeated over and over again to create an image.
When you're looking at an image on your computer screen, what you're seeing is actually a series of tiny dots called pixels. To create an image, these pixels are arranged in rows and columns. The number of rows and columns depends on the resolution of the image. High-resolution images have more pixels and a greater number of rows and columns. Low resolution images have fewer pixels, which are arranged in less rows or columns.
