Brother TN436 / TN433 Toner: Common Questions

What is the difference between the Brother TN436 / TN433 sizes?

TN431 prints about 3,000 pages black and 1,800 per color; TN433 about 4,500 black and 4,000 per color; TN436 about 6,500 black and 6,500 per color. All three sizes fit the same printers (TN436 needs the HL-L8360CDW, MFC-L8900CDW or MFC-L9570CDW), so the larger cartridges cost less per page.

Which printers use Brother TN436 / TN433 toner?

Will compatible Brother TN436 / TN433 toner work in my printer?

High-yield (the X or H version) in almost every case. It is the same cartridge body with more toner, so each printed page costs less. Standard-yield only makes sense if you print very little.
