All three toner sizes fit the same slots. TN433 is the usual choice; TN436 suits busy offices. The DR-431CL drum unit is shared by all four colors and needs replacing far less often than the toner. We sell compatible TN433 and TN436 toner, but not the drum.
How to Replace the Toner
- Open the front cover of the Brother HL-L8360CDW.
- Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
- Push down the lock lever and remove the empty toner cartridge from the drum unit.
- Unbox the new TN-433 cartridge, gently rock it side-to-side to distribute toner, and remove the protective cover.
- Insert the new cartridge into the drum unit until it locks into place, then reinstall the assembly and close the front cover.

Faded, streaky, or spotted prints: Gently rock the toner cartridge to redistribute toner. If streaks persist, the DR-431CL drum unit may be reaching end of life and should be replaced.
Colors look muddy or misaligned: Run the color registration/calibration routine from the printer's control panel menu.
Paper jams: Check the paper path and rollers for debris, and make sure paper is loaded correctly and not overfilled.
