HP 831 Latex Ink: Common Questions

Does HP 831 come in more than one size?

HP 831 is the 775 ml cartridge for the Latex 300 series. The Latex 560 and 570 also accept the larger HP 871 3-liter cartridges in the same colors. HP 831 is not the same as HP 792 (Latex 210/260/280) or HP 789 (DesignJet L25500).

Which printers use HP 831 ink?

HP Latex 310 and 315 (54-in), Latex 330, 335, 360, 365, 370 and 375 (64-in), and Latex 560 and 570 (64-in). Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Will remanufactured HP 831 cartridges work in my Latex printer?

What is the HP 831 Latex Optimizer?

A clear pre-treatment fluid, not a color. The printer lays it down ahead of the ink and will not print without an optimizer cartridge installed, so keep one on hand. Each color is a separate cartridge; replace only the one the printer reports as empty.
