What Ink Does the Canon PIXMA iP110 Use?
Last Updated:Correction (October 2026): an earlier version of this guide named the LK-72 as the iP110's battery and rated the CLI-36 color cartridge at about 100 pages. The iP110 takes the LK-62 battery kit (the LK-72 is the PIXMA TR150's), and Canon rates the CLI-36 at about 249 pages.

Hard to find new in the U.S. We could not confirm it is still sold new here, though Canon Sweden still lists an iP110 with battery. Its successor, the PIXMA TR150, takes the same ink, and Canon USA now lists the TR150 as discontinued too.

How to Replace Ink in the Canon PIXMA iP110
- Power on the printer and open the top cover; the print head holder will move to center.
- Push down on the empty cartridge to release it and lift it out.
- Remove the new cartridge from packaging and pull off the orange protective tape.
- Insert the new cartridge into the matching color slot and press down until it clicks.
- Close the top cover; the iP110 will automatically prime the print head.
Troubleshooting Tips
Cartridge not recognized: Remove the cartridge, wipe the gold contacts gently with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat.
Streaky or faded prints: Run Print Head Cleaning from the Canon PRINT app or the printer driver's maintenance tab.
Battery: The iP110's optional battery is the LK-62 kit, not the LK-72 (that one is for the PIXMA TR150). Charge it fully before running a print head cleaning.
Ink-level warnings: A remanufactured cartridge can't report its ink level the way a new Canon cartridge does, so you may see a warning and lose the gauge for that cartridge. Judge the remaining ink by print quality from then on, or see how to turn off low ink warnings.

How many pages does the color cartridge really last?
Canon rates the CLI-36 at about 249 text and graphics pages, or about 104 borderless 4x6 photos. The 191-page figure belongs to the PGI-35 black.
Which battery fits the iP110?
The LK-62 kit, first sold for the iP100. It is an 11.1 V, 2110 mAh Li-ion pack. The LK-72 is the battery for the newer PIXMA TR150 and is not the one to buy for the iP110.
How many pages will I get per battery charge?
Canon rates the battery at about 240 sheets over Wi-Fi or about 290 over USB. It takes about 3 hours to charge, and a 3-step light shows the charge level.
How much paper can I load?
The sheet feeder holds up to 50 sheets. Sizes run from 4x6 photo paper up to Letter and Legal, plus envelopes.
Can I print from my phone without a router?
Yes. The iP110 has an access point mode, so a phone can connect to it directly. It also supports AirPrint, Mopria and the Canon PRINT app.

- There is no display. You set it up and check ink through the Canon PRINT app or the printer driver.
- The PGI-35 pigment black is rated for only 191 text pages but about 1,915 photos (an estimated figure), because photos use very little pigment black.
- The battery clips onto the back. With it fitted the printer weighs 2.2 kg and is 226 mm deep; without it, 2.0 kg and 185 mm.
- It is slow: Canon rates it at about 9.0 ipm black and 5.8 ipm color, and about 53 seconds per borderless 4x6 photo. Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only.

Same ink, newer model: the PIXMA TR150 uses the same PGI-35/CLI-36 cartridges, so you can share ink between the two. So does the PIXMA TR160. The batteries are different, though: the TR150 takes the LK-72.
