Is PG-275XL Worth It Over the Standard PG-275?
For most people, yes. The XL black is rated for about 300 pages against 180 for the standard cartridge, about two-thirds more. At typical prices the per-page saving is small, so the bigger gain is changing cartridges less often. The TR4720 is a small-office all-in-one with a document feeder, fax and automatic two-sided printing, so it tends to be used more heavily than a basic home printer.

How Do I Replace the Ink in the Canon TR4720?
- With the printer on, open the scanning unit/cover. The cartridge holder moves into place.
- Push the old cartridge down to unlock it and remove it.
- Peel the protective tape off the new cartridge. Don't touch the contacts or nozzles.
- Insert it at an angle into the correct slot (color left, black right) and push up until it clicks.
- Close the cover and let the printer initialize.
Can I Use Remanufactured PG-275XL and CL-276XL?
Yes. Remanufactured cartridges reuse Canon shells with the printhead built in, so they fit like the originals, and we found no evidence of Canon firmware blocking them. Why can't it find my Wi-Fi network?
The TR4720 only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), so it won't see a 5 GHz-only network. It has no Ethernet port, so the alternatives are Wireless Direct or a USB cable. Wi-Fi drop-outs are also a common complaint in owner reviews.
Does it have a touchscreen?
No. It has a two-line text display and buttons, and owners often say that makes setup and menu navigation awkward.
It keeps reporting a paper jam when nothing is stuck.
