How Do I Replace the Ink in the Canon PIXMA TS3522?
- Turn the printer on and open the front cover and the cartridge cover; the holder moves to the replacement position.
- Push the empty cartridge down and lift it out (on some models, open the lock lever first).
- Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and peel off the orange protective tape. Don't touch the gold contacts or print head nozzles.
- Insert the cartridge at a slight angle into its slot (color on the left, black on the right) and push up until it clicks, then close the lock lever if your model has one.
- Close the covers. If prompted about a non-genuine or refilled cartridge, confirm to continue.

Canon says P22 points to a mechanical problem. Remove all packing material, check that both cartridges are seated, and switch the printer off and on. If P22 comes straight back, the printer needs service.
The screen keeps flashing P, 0, 2 with green and orange lights. Can I fix it myself?
Try Canon's P02 troubleshooting steps first. If the error stays, Canon says the printer needs service: warranty support if it is under a year old, otherwise the discounted Canon Upgrade Program.

- The 1.5-inch segment display shows error codes like P02 one character at a time, alternating with green and orange lights. Write the characters down before you look the code up.
- Wireless Direct works only in access point mode, and Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only.
- The XL cartridges hold about twice the ink of the standard ones (11.9 vs 5.6 ml black, 12.6 vs 6.2 ml color), so moving to XL is the easiest way to cut how often you swap cartridges.
