The TN-730 and TN-760 also fit the HL-L2350DW, HL-L2370DWXL, HL-L2390DW, HL-L2395DW, DCP-L2550DW, MFC-L2690DW, MFC-L2710DW, MFC-L2717DW, MFC-L2730DW, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DWXL. The TN-770 is narrower: Brother lists it only for the HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL. How to Replace the Toner
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Pull out the drum-and-toner assembly, then push down the lock lever to remove the used toner cartridge.
- Unbox the new toner, rock it gently 5–6 times to distribute toner, and remove the protective seal.
- Slide the new toner into the drum unit until it clicks, then reinstall the assembly.
- Close the cover. The printer will recognize the new cartridge automatically.
Troubleshooting Tips
- "Replace Toner" or low-toner warning: If a known-good cartridge shows low, try power-cycling the printer or updating firmware.
- Faded or streaky prints: Gently rock the toner cartridge side-to-side to redistribute toner, then reinstall. Wipe the corona wire inside the drum unit by sliding the green tab back and forth several times.
- "Replace Drum" message: Reset the drum counter from the printer menu after installing a new DR-730 drum unit so the page count restarts accurately.
- Paper jams or smudges: Inspect the paper path and pickup roller for wear. Replacing worn rollers and keeping the printer dust-free prevents repeated print-quality issues.

Can I use the TN-770 in my other Brother laser too?
Only in a few models. Brother lists the TN-770 for the HL-L2370DW, HL-L2370DW XL, MFC-L2750DW and MFC-L2750DW XL. The TN-730 and TN-760 fit the wider family, such as the HL-L2350DW and MFC-L2710DW.
Is a drum included, and how long does it last?
Yes. The printer comes with a DR-730 drum and a starter toner rated at about 700 pages. Brother rates the drum at about 12,000 pages and says the real figure varies with how you print.
How many toner cartridges will one drum see?
At 12,000 pages, a DR-730 lasts through about four TN-760s, about ten TN-730s or a little under three TN-770s.
Can it print on legal paper or envelopes?
Yes. The 250-sheet tray takes letter and legal, and the one-sheet manual feed slot handles envelopes, labels and custom sizes from 3 to 8.5 in wide and 5 to 14 in long.
Can I plug it into my router with a cable?
Yes. Besides Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Wi-Fi Direct, it has an Ethernet port and Hi-Speed USB 2.0.
HL-L2370DW quirks worth knowing
- Brother's own product page is inconsistent: the main features name only the TN730 and TN760, while the fine print mentions the TN-770 Super High-yield. The TN-770 does fit.
- If your toner comes through a Brother Refresh EZ Print subscription, Brother says the subscription cartridge is deactivated when you cancel. Buy regular retail toner before you cancel.
- Brother rates it for up to 15,000 pages a month but recommends no more than 2,000. It draws about 0.6 W in deep sleep and 48 W when ready.
