That fifth cartridge is what trips people up. The 564 Photo cartridge (CB317WN) is a separate photo black that sits alongside the ordinary black — it does not replace it. Buy a four-cartridge 564 set and you will be one cartridge short, and this printer will not run with an empty slot.

Is there a 564XXL?
No. HP's own page is titled "HP 564 and HP 564XL Ink Cartridges" — exactly two tiers. Any listing advertising a "564XXL" is a third-party product using XL language loosely.
About the HP Photosmart 7510
A 2011-era photo all-in-one: print, scan, copy and web-based eFax (there is no phone-line fax), 13.5 ISO ppm black and 9 ppm color, a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 125-sheet main tray plus a dedicated photo tray, memory card slots, Wi-Fi and ePrint. There is a 25-sheet document feeder for multi-page scanning, and two-sided printing is automatic.
HP has discontinued it. The five-ink system with a separate photo black is genuinely good at photographs, which is why so many are still in service — but see the printhead note below before investing in one.

The signature failure of this whole 564 generation. Work through it in this order, because the cheap causes are more common than the expensive one: check cartridge age first — HP puts a roughly two-year best-before date on 564 cartridges and expired ink alone can trigger this. Then run a printhead cleaning. Then swap any cartridge that is old or was sitting part-used. Only after all of that should you suspect the printhead.
The printhead is the real weak point
Worth knowing before you spend money on ink. The printhead on this generation is a separate part that fails, and HP does not sell it as a retail supply — it is a service part sourced third-party. That is the honest reason these printers eventually get retired, and it is why we would not recommend buying a used one at any price without testing it first.
Streaks or a missing color on photos only
Photo output shows nozzle problems long before text does. Run a nozzle check, one cleaning cycle, then print a photo test page rather than a text page to judge whether it worked.
Prints stop with cartridges still showing ink
Usually a cartridge the printer cannot read rather than an empty one. Remove each cartridge, wipe the copper contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat firmly until it clicks.
