How Do I Replace the Ink in the Canon PIXMA TS3420?
- Turn the printer on and pull out the paper output tray and its extension.
- Open the cover and wait for the cartridge holder to stop in the replacement position.
- Push down the lock lever on the empty cartridge until it clicks, then take the cartridge out.
- Unpack the new cartridge, peel off the protective tape and slide it straight in: color on the left, black on the right. Push the lock lever up until it clicks.
- Close the cover. Run a print head alignment if the printer asks for one.

Is the TS3420 sold in the U.S.?
It was launched by Canon Canada and is sold by Canadian retailers. In the U.S., look at the TS3320 or TS3322, which use the same PG-245 and CL-246 cartridges.
Can I print with only one cartridge?
Canon's manual says that on Windows you can print for a while with whichever cartridge still has ink. Both cartridges must stay installed, though; don't leave a slot empty.
Prints come out blank or streaky.
Check the ink levels, make sure no orange tape is left on the cartridges and reseat both until they click. Then run a nozzle check and a head cleaning. If two deep cleanings don't fix it, replace the cartridge, since the print head is built into it.
It stopped printing after I changed my router.
Run Wi-Fi setup again with the Wireless Connect button. The TS3420 only works on 2.4 GHz networks, not 5 GHz.
