What Does XP-810 Ink Cost per Page?

On October 27, 2026, Epson and Staples both listed the 273XL black at $27.49 (about 5.5¢ a page), and Staples listed 273XL colors at $21.99 each (about 3.4¢ a page). Our remanufactured 273XL cartridges are $9.95 each: about 2¢ a page for black and 1.5¢ per color. Our 5-pack of all five colors is $30.99.

Will Remanufactured Ink Work?

Usually, yes. Some Epson models have had firmware updates that rejected non-Epson cartridges, reported on the XP-830 and the XP-530, 630 and 640, but we found no report naming the XP-810 or the 273 cartridges. To be safe, set Epson's software updates to ask before installing.

How Do I Replace the Ink in the XP-810?

  1. With the printer on, lift the scanner unit; the cartridge holder moves to the replacement position.
  2. Squeeze the tab on the empty cartridge and lift it out.
  3. Unpack the new cartridge and remove only the yellow tape.
  4. Press it into its matching slot until it clicks.
  5. Close the scanner unit and follow the on-screen prompt to finish charging the ink.

These are the standard steps for this type of printer. If your model's door label shows a different order, follow the label.

XP-810 quirks worth knowing

  • It prints on inkjet-printable CDs and DVDs and has a separate 20-sheet photo tray.
  • It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and Ethernet.
  • When its ink pads reach end of life, the printer stops until an authorized Epson service resets it.
