Canon 118 Toner: Common Questions

How many pages does a Canon 118 cartridge print?

Canon 118 black prints about 3,400 pages and each color about 2,900. Canon makes only one size for these printers, so there is no high-capacity version to choose.

Which printers use Canon 118 toner?

Canon imageCLASS LBP7200Cdn, LBP7660Cdn, MF726Cdw, MF729Cdw, MF8350Cdn, MF8380Cdw, MF8580Cdw. Our Find Ink by Printer page has a guide for each model.

Will compatible Canon 118 toner work in my printer?

Yes. Our cartridges are new, not refilled, and install like an original. If your printer shows a replace-toner message right after installing, it is reading the page counter rather than the cartridge; the printer's toner-reset steps clear it. If a cartridge from us isn't recognized, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.

When should I replace a Canon 118 cartridge?

When the printer reports it empty or pages start to fade or streak. Shaking the cartridge gently side to side can squeeze out a few more pages, but once print quality drops it is time for a new one. Replace only the color that has run out; the others keep working.
