Don't mix these up: PFI-120 (130 ml) fits the TM-200/TM-300 series. The larger PFI-320 (300 ml) fits the same printers. The black (photo/dye) and matte black (pigment) are different inks, and these printers use both.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installing: open the ink tank cover on the side the printer indicates, push the lever to release the empty tank and pull it out. Shake the new tank gently, slide it into the slot with the matching label until it clicks, lower the lever and close the cover.

Ink level messages: the printer may report that the remaining ink level cannot be detected or that a non-Canon ink is installed. Confirm the message on the control panel to continue; the printer will track usage from that point.

Printheads are separate: imagePROGRAF printheads are replaced on their own schedule. If a color shows banding after a new tank, run a nozzle check and head cleaning from the Maintenance menu.
