Installation & Troubleshooting

Installing: open the ink tank cover on the side of the printer, raise the lock lever on the empty tank and pull it out. Gently rock the new tank side to side a few times to mix the ink, slide it in with the label facing up, and lower the lever until it locks. Close the cover; the printer reads the tank and updates the ink level.

Ink level and messages: the printer reads the chip on each tank. If it asks you to confirm a non-genuine or refilled tank, accept the prompt to continue; the ink level indicator keeps working as normal.

Banding or missing colors: run a nozzle check and a head cleaning from the printer's maintenance menu before replacing any parts.
