Installing: open the front cover, remove the toner cartridge, then pull out the old drum. Unpack the new drum, remove its protective sheet without touching the drum surface, slide it in, reinstall the toner and close the cover.
Drum messages: if the printer still reports the drum near end of life, reset the drum counter from the machine's menu or power it off and on once. Keep the drum out of bright light.
