Quick answer: The Epson Stylus NX300 uses four Epson 69 cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Epson's spec sheet also lists the high-capacity Epson 68 black and the moderate-capacity Epson 88. Castle Ink stocks remanufactured Epson 69 Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, 5-pack and 8-pack bundles, and a high-capacity Epson 68 Black.

Epson 69 also fits the WorkForce 30, the Stylus NX110, the WorkForce 610 and many other Epson models from 2008 to 2011. The NX305 is a variant of the NX300 and takes the same cartridges. Epson lists the NX300 for Epson 68 in black only, not the 68 colors.

Yes. On October 24, 2026, Staples listed Epson's 69 black at $21.39, about 8.7¢ a page. 4inkjets had Epson's 69 yellow at $21.99 and each Epson 88 at $15.99 for only about 165 to 180 pages, roughly 9¢ a page. How Do I Replace the Ink in the Epson Stylus NX300?

Turn the printer on. When the display shows an ink message, follow the prompt to replace the cartridge. To replace one early, start ink cartridge replacement from the setup or maintenance menu.
Open the scanner unit, wait for the print head to stop, then open the cartridge cover.
Squeeze the tab on the old cartridge and lift it straight up.
Shake the new package four or five times, unpack it, peel off only the yellow tape without touching the green chip, and press it in until it clicks.
Close the cartridge cover and scanner, then press the start button to charge the ink. It takes about two minutes; don't turn the printer off.
