How to Replace Ink in the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710

  1. Power on the printer and open the cartridge access door (the front panel folds down).
  2. Wait for the carriage to slide to the access position and stop.
  3. Press the front of the empty cartridge to release it, then pull it straight out.
  4. Unwrap the new 952 or 952XL cartridge and remove the orange protective cap. Don't touch the gold contacts.
