HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Ink Cartridges

Castle Ink sells remanufactured ink cartridges for the OfficeJet Pro 8600, 8600 Plus and 8600 Premium. The OfficeJet Pro 8600 uses an HP 950 black cartridge and HP 951 cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges, which you replace one color at a time. Each cartridge is a remanufactured original shell, refilled and tested in the U.S. Orders placed by 4 PM ET ship the same business day, shipping is free over $50, and every cartridge is covered by our 1-year 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Tip: turn off automatic HP firmware updates before installing third-party cartridges so an update can't block them later (here's how). Printing checks? Choose the MICR black version.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Ink: Common Questions

Which ink cartridges does the OfficeJet Pro 8600 use?

The OfficeJet Pro 8600 uses an HP 950 black cartridge and HP 951 cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges, which you replace one color at a time.

Will remanufactured ink work in my OfficeJet Pro 8600?

Yes. Turn off automatic firmware updates (and HP's Cartridge Protection setting, if your printer has it) before installing, so an update can't block third-party cartridges. If a cartridge from us still isn't recognized, contact us and we'll replace or refund it under our 1-year guarantee.

Standard or XL: which should I buy?

XL in almost every case. The XL cartridges are the same physical size and fit the same slot, but hold more ink, so each printed page costs less. Standard cartridges only make sense if you print very rarely, since ink can dry out over long idle periods.
