Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: open the front cover and wait for the print head to stop. Pull the empty tank out of the print head (M3328G/A, sold separately), remove the cap from the new tank and press it into the same position on the print head until it clicks. Close the cover.
No chip to reset: these Color StyleWriter printers do not read chips. Run a cleaning from the Apple printer utility if print is faint after a change.
Streaks: run one or two cleanings. The print head is a separate part; if streaks continue with fresh tanks, the head may be worn.
