What's in the Box
- 1 × HP 920 Magenta (CH635AN) remanufactured ink cartridge — about 300 pages
Page yields are the manufacturer's rating for the matching original cartridge, measured at roughly 5% page coverage. Your results will vary with what you print.
Correction: this listing was previously titled "HP 564". CH635AN is the HP 920 magenta cartridge for the OfficeJet 6000/6500/7000/7500A family. If your printer takes HP 564, see our HP 564XL cartridges instead.

Don't mix these up: Despite the similar look, HP 920 is not HP 564 (DeskJet 3520, OfficeJet 4620, Photosmart 5520/6520/7520). It is also not interchangeable with HP 932/933 (OfficeJet 6100/6600/6700/7110/7610) or HP 950/951.

Chips, Printer Messages & Installation
Installing: with the printer on, open the ink access door and wait for the carriage to stop. Press the front of the old cartridge to release it, unwrap the new one and push it into the slot with the matching color until it clicks. Close the door and let the printer finish its startup routine before printing.
Chip: this version keeps the original HP chip, the most reliable choice for HP printers with current firmware.
Printhead is separate: HP 920 printers use a separate printhead, so if a color stays faded after a new cartridge, run Clean Printhead from the Tools menu.

Remanufactured vs. Compatible vs. Original
Original (OEM) cartridges are new from the printer brand and cost the most. Remanufactured cartridges, like this one, start as genuine original shells (including the original chip) that are cleaned, refilled with high-quality ink and print-tested, so they fit and communicate like the original at a fraction of the price. Compatible cartridges are built new by a third party with their own chip. Castle Ink sells remanufactured inkjet cartridges and compatible (newly manufactured) toner.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many pages does the HP 920 magenta print?
About 300 pages, based on HP's rating for the original CH635AN at roughly 5% coverage. The HP 920XL magenta (CD973AN) prints about 700 and fits the same slot.
Is this the same as HP 564?
No. HP 920 and HP 564 look alike but fit different printers. HP 920 fits the OfficeJet 6000, 6500, 6500A, 7000 and 7500A.
Can I mix HP 920 and 920XL cartridges?
Yes. Standard and XL cartridges share the same slots and can be mixed freely.
Will this void my printer warranty?
No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your printer warranty just because you used a third-party or remanufactured supply. If a non-original supply directly caused damage, that specific repair might not be covered.
How long can I store it?
Store it sealed, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, and use it within about 24 months for best results. Once opened, install it promptly.
When will my order ship?
Orders placed by 4 PM ET, Monday through Friday, ship the same business day from Long Island, NY, by USPS (2–5 business days). Expedited 1–2 day delivery is available at checkout, and shipping is free on orders over $50.
