Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Installing: open the printer's front or top cover, pull out the empty toner cartridge (on color models, from the matching color slot) and shake the new cartridge gently side to side five or six times. Remove any protective tape, slide it in until it locks and close the cover.

Supply messages: if the printer reports a non-Konica Minolta supply, press OK or Continue to keep printing. If the cartridge is not recognized, reseat it firmly.

Streaks or faint print: shake the cartridge again and print a few pages. The imaging unit or drum is a separate part with its own life.
