Chips, Printer Messages & Installation

Filling: use these bottles only in a printer that has been dedicated to sublimation. Open the tank cap for one color, stand the bottle upright in the matching port and let it fill until it stops, then close the cap and repeat for the other colors.

Printing: print mirrored onto sublimation paper, then press onto polyester or poly-coated blanks with a heat press, following your paper and blank maker's time and temperature.

Streaks or missing colors: run a nozzle check and cleaning. Print at least a test page every few days so sublimation ink does not settle in the head.

Sublimation Ink vs. Regular Ink

Regular Epson ink prints on paper. Sublimation ink turns into a gas under a heat press and bonds into polyester and polymer-coated blanks, so prints are permanent and won't crack or peel. That is why a sublimation printer must use sublimation ink only. This bottle is newly made in the USA; it is not an Epson product.

Can I use it in a new EcoTank that has Epson ink in it?

Only after the printer has been dedicated to sublimation. Mixing sublimation ink with regular ink in the same tanks will ruin both.

What can I print on?

Polyester fabric and poly-coated blanks such as mugs, mouse pads, phone cases, coasters and signs. For cotton, use a different transfer method.

Do I need special paper?

Yes. Print onto sublimation paper and transfer with a heat press.

Will this void my printer warranty?

No. Under the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your printer warranty just because you used a third-party or remanufactured supply. If a non-original supply directly caused damage, that specific repair might not be covered.

How long can I store it?

Keep bottles sealed and upright at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, and use within about 12 months of opening. Shake gently before filling.
