Don't mix these up: FO-3CR and UX-3CR are the same Sharp imaging film; Sharp used the FO- prefix on its office faxes and UX- on the UX series. It is not the FO-15CR/UX-15CR (500-page roll for the FO-1460/1660/UX-1000 series) or the UX-5CR (UX-P100/UX-A255 series).

Installation & Troubleshooting
Installing refill rolls: open the machine, lift out the cartridge frame and remove the used roll and the empty take-up core. Seat the new supply roll and feed the film onto the take-up spool with the ink side facing the paper, then turn the gear until the film is taut with no wrinkles before closing the cover. A loose or creased film causes blank or streaked pages.
Faint or patchy print: make sure the ribbon is seated in front of the print head and the take-up knob has been turned to remove slack. If print stays faint after a fresh ribbon, the print head may need cleaning.
Compatible (Newly Manufactured) vs. Original
Original (OEM) supplies are new from the printer brand and cost the most. Compatible supplies, like this one, are newly manufactured by a third party to fit and print like the original at a lower price.
