How to Replace Ink in the HP DeskJet 2700e
- Power on the printer and wait until the carriage is idle.
- Open the cartridge access door — the carriage will move toward the center.
- Press down on the empty cartridge to release it, then pull it out.
- Unwrap the new cartridge and pull the orange tab to remove the protective tape — do not touch the copper contacts.
- Slide the cartridge in at a slight upward angle until it clicks, then close the access door.
